Social Care

At Castletown Community Primary School, we are committed to ensuring that all children feel safe, supported and able to achieve their best. We recognise that some children may have involvement from a social worker due to safeguarding concerns, family circumstances or other challenges. These children may face additional barriers to learning and we work proactively to provide the stability, care and high-quality education they deserve.

We use Pupil Premium funding to strengthen our support for these pupils. This includes promoting strong attendance, providing targeted academic and pastoral interventions and building positive relationships that help children feel secure and confident in school.

Our staff work closely with families, social workers and other professionals to ensure that every child’s needs are understood and their voice is heard. We aim to reduce the impact of adversity by offering nurture, early help and consistent routines—creating an environment where every child feels included and able to flourish.

At Castletown Community Primary School, we are dedicated to ensuring that all children, whatever their circumstances, experience success and thrive as part of our school community.
